Cindy Christensen
Office Manager
Cindy's childhood days were spent in the Boise Valley where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Valley View High School in Nampa. After attending Boise State University, she married Rod and had four children: Doug, Julie, Jennifer and Jaimy. Cindy's children are all married and have blessed her with ten grandchildren.
She started her career in dentistry as a surgical assistant and after working in that capacity for several years, she moved on to the front desk area. Cindy worked for Dr. Suhadolnik and is now Dr. Jilek's Office Manager. When asked what she liked most about her job, she said that she likes being able to educate people about oral health and she also likes interacting with people on a daily basis. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family.
Kim Davison
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kim is a local girl who grew up in nearby Richland. After graduating from Richland High, Kim started out in dentistry as an assistant. After a few years, she decided to enroll in the Dental Hygiene program at CBC and is honored to be a member of the first class of hygienists to graduate from the program. She says she was inspired as a child by a hygienist who was kind to her. Kim has two children: Jared and Kalli. They keep her very busy! Kim and her husband Phil are proud of their new home in Benton City, and are enjoying adding their personal touches to it. She says the aspect of her job that she particularly enjoys is knowing that she is helping people. Kim's sense of humor and her fun loving attitude make her a great addition to our team!
Shawn Defferding
Receptionist
Shawn grew up in Benton City. After graduating from high school, she went to Northwest College in Seattle where she earned her Dental Assisting Certification. She landed her fist job in Pasco and has been here ever since. She spent many years working as a dental assistant but eventually moved to the front desk. She has been part of our office team for many years.
She and her husband Bruce live in Pasco and have one son, Bryan. She enjoys fishing and camping with her family, which includes two St. Bernards, and two cats. Shawn says that helping people get the best dental treatment possible makes her job worthwhile.
Isabel Hernandez
Certified Dental Assistant
Isabel grew up and attended school in Warden, Washington. After graduating from high school she went on to Washington State University. Isabel always knew she wanted to work in some aspect of dentistry and after some time spent in school, she married Jesse and transferred to Spokane Community College to get her dental assisting certification. After completing the required two year course, Isabel went to work at the Moses Lake Community Health Center. She eventually moved to the Pasco area and has been here ever since.
Isabel has worked for both Dr. Shuadolnik and Dr. Jilek. She and her husband have two children, Tony and Dustin. Her son Tony recently celebrated his wedding in Pullman. Isabel is also enjoying her role of Grandma to Dustin's two young ones! In her spare time she enjoys working in her garden and fishing with her husband. She says she enjoys the satisfaction of seeing our patients complete their treatment and feeling good about their teeth!
Verna Ireland
Certified Dental Assistant
Verna has lived in and around the Pasco area for most of her life. She is familiar with most of our patients and may be able to relate a story or two for you. Dental assisting became her career after she was given a chance to "try it." She has loved it ever since. Verna says she likes to make people feel comfortable about their dental experience. She has worked for Dr. Jilek for many years and continues to generate enormous energy! She makes the office staff tired just by watching her.
She and her husband Glenn live in Burbank and have two boys: Ethan 15 (soon to get his driver's permit) and Kevin who is 14. The boys are very invovled with baseball, playing for Pasco Babe Ruth and Burbank High. They are looking forward to the High School Football season in the fall. They keep Mom and Dad busy as they travel from game to game!
Shannon Moreno
Certfied Dental Asssistant
Shannon grew up in the small town of Mabton, Washington. Shortly after graduating from Mabton High, she landed her first dental assisting job in the slightly bigger town of Prosser. Shannon made the big jump to the Tri-Cities soon after and has lived here with her husband Al for more than 25 years. They have two boys- Al Jr. who is 18, and will be attending the University of Idaho in the fall, and Steven who is 15. New experiences and memories are sure to follow for the Moreno family. Her son Steven is a sophomore at Kennewick High School and keeps them busy watching cross country, wrestling and track. As a family they enjoy camping, barbecuing and just hanging out in general.
Shannon has worked within this practice, orginally for Dr. Suhadolnik and after spending time at home with her children, she came back to work for Dr. Jilek in 1998. She enjoys learning all the new things associated with our new office and she likes working with people and making fun things happen!
Lori Winston
Registered Dental Hygienist
Lori moved from Utah to the Tri-Cities when she was eight years old. She graduated from Kennewick High School and later went on to graduate from CBC and Yakima Valley Community College in 1991. Shortly after, she married her husband Rob and they have three girls: Kaylie, Courtney and Kelsee. They keep Mom very busy with all of their activites including soccer, softball, ballet, and cheer. Mom is the ultimate chauffeur but she does try to find time to do some scrap booking. Lori and her husband recently bought a new home in Pasco and have settled into it nicely.
Lori has been a member of this staff for a number of years and says she enjoys helping patients feel better about their teeth! We are glad that she is part of our "super" dental team!
